The Cashflow Simulator automatically loads current recurring items from Income and Expenses.
Add a hypothetical item
Under Hypothetical items, choose Expense or Income, enter a name and amount, and add it. Hypothetical items exist only in the current simulation and are not saved to your real cash-flow lists.
Use them to test a salary change, rent increase, loan payment, school fee, side income, or other recurring scenario.
Choose savings for runway
Under Savings, select which liquid financial holdings should count toward the runway. If Hugo has no liquid holdings, there is nothing to select.
Read the result
Cashflow / month equals total income, including hypothetical income, minus total expenses, including hypothetical expenses.
When cash flow is negative, Lasts for shows how many months the selected savings can cover the deficit:
selected savings ÷ monthly deficit
When cash flow is positive, Surplus buys you converts the surplus into days of ordinary monthly living expenses:
monthly surplus ÷ monthly expenses × 30
The simulation does not modify saved records and is not a forecast of taxes, inflation, or one-time costs.
